AAI was incorporated with the objective of merging International Airport Authority of India and National Airports Authority into one Corporation and accelerating the integrated development, expansion and modernization of the airports in India of international standards. It is a Schedule ‘A’ CPSE in Transportation Services sector under the administrative control of Ministry of Civil Aviation. Its Registered and Corporate offices are at New Delhi. The shareholding of the Government of India in the AAI is 100%. The Capital Account of AAI is Rs. 656.56 crores as on 31.01.2013.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member (HR) shall be a Member of Board of AAI and shall report to Chairman. He shall be overall in-charge of co-ordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organization. He is expected to play a leadership role and provide effective support in achieving sustained growth of the organization’s business.

ELIGIBILITY :
  1. AGE: On the date of occurrence of vacancy  Minimum 45 years. (ii) Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and not more than 57 years for others.The age of superannuation is 60 years.
  2. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    1. The incumbent should be a graduate with good academic record from a recognized university with at least two years cumulative experience during the last ten years at a senior level in various aspects of personnel management and industrial relations in an organization of repute.
    2. Persons with Post Graduate degree/diploma in Personnel Management or MBA with specialization in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations as an elective subject from a recognized university or institute or degree in law or industrial engineering will have an added advantage.
    3. Provided that minimum qualification is relaxable in the case of internal candidates and Government officers with relevant and adequate background and experience.
  3. PAY SCALE: Rs. 75,000-1,00,000/- (revised)
  4. The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of vacancy.
  5. Government Officers Government officers of the level of Joint Secretary in Govt. of India or on equivalent scale of pay or Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force, on the date of application will be eligible for consideration on immediate absorption basis.
  6. DURATION OF APPOINTMENT : The appointment shall be for a period of five years or upto the date of superannuation whichever is earlier.
